Het is een vakantie hier vandaag. Het wordt net een Civic-vakantie genoemd, maar het implying varieert, afhankelijk van waar je in Canada woont. In BC heet het de British Columbia Day, in Alberta, het wordt Heritage Day … heel specifiek, in de stad Toronto, het is Simcoe Day. SIMCOE DAG is vernoemd naar John Graves SIMCOE, die de stad York, Upper Canada heeft opgericht, die Toronto werd. Hij was ook de eerste luitenant-gouverneur van de provincie. nu weet je het!

Ik heb deze van winnaars een tijdje terug opgeslagen en ik werk gewoon mijn weg door mijn stash. Het ruikt naar oranje creamsicle en de basisolie is zonnebloemolie – wat is er niet om lief te hebben?

Body Shop Vitamine E Hydrating toner – $ 13 voor 200ml
Ik ben meestal niet typisch trouw aan toners, maar dit is er een die ik heb ingekocht. Het is een dikkere consistentie in vergelijking met andere toners, zoals een waterige gel. Het woont op zijn naam – het is erg hydraterend en ik raad dit aan voor alle huidtypen.

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 8% Aha Gel Exfoliant – $ 28 voor 100ml
Dit is een oude fles. Ik heb het gekocht bij de klaring omdat pc aan het veranderen van hun verpakking was. Ik heb zowel AHA als BHA geprobeerd in zowel vloeistof- als gelindeling en ik kies het vloeibare formaat. De gel laat een plakkerig residu op de huid. Ze zijn allebei effectief. Ik denk eraan om het lotionformaat naast testen.

Dit spul sucks – ik heb het hier geëvalueerd. Ik heb uiteindelijk wat glycerine in het mengen en een beetje Rosewater ook – het was veel meer aanvaardbaarer op die manier. en goede riddance!

Een ander nietje. Ik heb waarschijnlijk 10 ongeopende pakketten van dit die ik van Costco kreeg.

Fruit & Passion Green Tea Sheet Mask – $ 2
Ik wist nooit fruit en passie velmaskers. Ik vermoed dat het te wijten is aan zijn nieuwe-ish-eigenaren, LG, die ook eigenaar is van de Faceshop. Het masker is gemaakt in Korea, en de verpakking lijkt veel op de faceshop-maskers. Er is een goede hoeveelheid serum in het buidel. De oog- en mondplaatsingen zijn goed hierop, maar het vel is te kort, verstandig voor mijn gezicht.

Tresemmé Tres Twee Ultra Fine Mist Hair Spray – C $ 8 voor 311G
Dit is mijn langgekeerde haarspray, maar ik word Itchy om iets nieuws te proberen. Aanbevelingen? Ik gebruik haarspray voornamelijk om te temmen vliegen op de bovenkant van mijn hoofd. Ik hou van een zeer fijne mist en geen residu of glanzend “haarspray”-look. en iets dat goed ruikt.

Curl-keeper – $ 17 voor 250 ml
Dit verschijnt om de andere maand, het lijkt. Ik gebruik nu een haarmousse. Ik heb in jaren geen haarmousse gebruikt.

Bad & Body Works Waikiki Beach Coconut Shower Gel – C $ 12,50 voor 295ml
Dit was de limited edition-versie uit 2015 – ze veranderden het label-kunstwerk voor de versie van deze jaren om een kokosnoot te tonen in plaats van een hibiscus. Ik heb nog steeds een andere ongeopende fles uit de 2015 – ik heb geen van 2016 opgehaald en nu wou ik dat ik het had, dus ik kan vergelijken. Ik hoorde dat de geur enigszins werd veranderd (en niet ten goede). Maar deze is geweldig. Ik zet “Misschien” als een terugkoop omdat BBW volgend jaar zou kunnen brengen, wie weet!

Blue + Cross Cuticle Remover – C $ 6 voor 473 ml
Dit is het epische leeg! I think I’ve been using this bottle for at least 5 years. I’ve tried various cuticle removers over the years from Sally Hansen, Avon, Mavala etc. but this one beats them all and it’s cheap as chips! There are only 5 ingredients in this with the essential ingredient being potassium hydroxide which has a high ph (alkaline) and essentially beats down the dead skin until the skin says “my apologies, I’ll just vacate the premises”. I decant from this massive bottle into a small squeeze bottle to use – about 2 drops per nail is all you need. I wait about a minute for it to work its magic and then push back my cuticles.

I’m really digging into my sample stash lately – I’ve been making good progress!
TonyMoly Aquaporin Water Bomb Sleeping pack – this is my first sleeping mask andI liked it – doesn’t feel heavy and did offer great hydration.
Body shop Vitamin C radiance Capsule – I was curious about this and the SA gave me a capsule to try out. thankful I evaluated it – it felt much more like a primer than a serum.
Blinc Mascara Amplified – this was my first time trying tubing mascara and it was such a letdown. It offers no volume and hardly any length. and it didn’t hold a curl.
Blinc eyebrow Mousse – made my brows crispy and clump together – didn’t like that.
Coastal Scents small hot Pots Eye shadow in Chamois nude – My friend got this in her Ipsy bag and passed it to me. I really like this for a brow bone highlight. RIP little man (shown here beside a Canadian quarter for scale – Canadian quarters are the same size as American ones, thus we often get American quarters mixed into our change.)
Mary Kay Timewise night service – this is a gel serum with little coloured beads suspended. It was ok, but nothing mind-blowing.
Clarins very Restorative night wear – this was good but unremarkable to me. The sample only contained enough product for 3 uses so I can’t form a true impression of it except that it smelled good and my skin didn’t break out.
Biotherm Biocils Lash Optimizer – this, however, was love at first sight! I’ve had multiples samples of this and have a full size bottle which I’ll be opening soon. This is probably my preferred waterproof eye makeup remover – effective yet gentle and does not leave a greasy film.
Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk – I talk about this product in the review post for the Saje serum, coincidentally.
Biotherm Aquasource Gel – this is similar to the Clinique moisture surge extended Thirst relief but this is heavily scented and much more watery.
History of Whoo Seol Whitening Intensive – this is a thick serum / paste implied to be applied after essence and before face cream. I focused this on my freckles and it did diddly-squat. This was a sample I received as part of a kit I purchased 3 years ago now. Which I still haven’t opened. It’s on my next skincare hit list.
Rimmel stay Matte liquid Mousse foundation in 100 Ivory – I think I tore this out of a magazine. It’s actually quite good – it does have a whipped mousse texture but is a bit liquidy (hence the name!) It doesn’t cling to dry spots and does keep the face matte. I’d consider purchasing a full size of this. The colour match is good, I might opt for “True Ivory” which looks to be slightly warmer. I have another sample pouch – one pouch is enough for 2 uses.
Cake charm Vanilla Cashmere Velveteen Hand cream – a beautiful hand cream in a limited edition scent – Milk Made is still my favourite!
Body shop Piñita Colada shower Gel and Body Butter – I was thrilled for this launch but after trying the samples I chose not to purchase the full size. The piña colada scent leans heavy on the pineapple, barely any trace of coconut.
